New Delhi, 7 December. Indigo, the country’s largest airline, announced on Sunday that it is witnessing a significant improvement in operations following widespread flight disruptions. The airline is moving swiftly towards normal functioning and is set to operate more than 1,650 flights today.

In its latest statement, Indigo said it has taken several steps over the past two days to stabilise its network.

On Saturday, the airline operated approximately 1,500 flights.

Indigo reported a strong increase in its on-time performance (OTP), which rose to 75 percent today compared to about 30 percent the previous day.

The airline further stated that cancellations are being made in advance, with passengers being promptly informed.

Indigo’s teams are working round the clock to normalise operations and improve passengers’ travel experience.

The airline confirmed that refund and baggage processes are fully operational for customers who booked directly as well as through travel agents.

Indigo expressed confidence that its network will be stable by 10 December, earlier than the earlier estimate of 10-15 December.

Passengers are urged to check the latest flight status on the airline’s website before heading to the airport, as minor changes in flights may still occur during the ongoing operational improvements.

For refund assistance, customers can use the link provided on Indigo’s website or contact the customer support team.

The airline apologised once again for the inconvenience caused in recent days, thanked passengers for their patience, and appreciated the hard work of its employees and partners.

Indigo is working closely with authorities and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and speedy return to full normalcy.

A spokesperson for Indigo said, “We are grateful for the patience, trust, and understanding shown by our customers, as well as the tireless efforts of our employees and partners. We will continue collaborating with all authorities and stakeholders to ensure a rapid and complete return to normal operations.”
