New Delhi, December 3 – India’s largest airline IndiGo has been facing severe operational challenges for several days. Due to technical glitches, heavy congestion at major airports, and operational constraints, hundreds of its flights are running hours behind schedule daily, while dozens of flights are being completely cancelled. The company issued an official statement on Wednesday apologising to passengers.

IndiGo stated that all its teams are working round the clock to restore normal operations as soon as possible. Passengers whose flights have been cancelled are being offered alternative flights or full refunds. Those affected by delayed flights are also being provided with all possible assistance. The company clearly stated that passenger trust is most valuable to them and they deeply regret the inconvenience caused.

IndiGo has advised passengers to check their flight status once before leaving home. This can help avoid both inconvenience and additional crowding at airports.

Additionally, the company said it would resolve all issues as quickly as possible and restore its promise of affordable, on-time, and hassle-free travel for which people prefer it the most.

Currently, IndiGo operates more than 400 aircraft and runs approximately 2,300 flights daily. The airline connects over 90 cities in India along with more than 45 international destinations.

In the financial year 2024-25, more than 11.5 crore people travelled with IndiGo. Recently, at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2025, it was once again chosen as the best airline in India and South Asia.
