Indian Consul General Fahad Suri discusses strengthening ties with Saudi Arabias Deputy Governor amid security concerns.

Jeddah, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : In Jeddah, on October 19, Indian Consul General Fahad Suri met with Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Governor of the Medina region. The meeting focused on enhancing the relationship between India and Saudi Arabia, addressing issues pertinent to the Indian community, and increasing cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
This discussion comes at a critical time when India has recently advised its citizens in Saudi Arabia to exercise heightened caution due to the current security situation. The Indian Embassy has urged its nationals to adhere to safety guidelines, seek refuge in safe locations during emergencies, and refrain from sharing sensitive information related to ongoing events.
Additionally, the embassy has been actively visiting hospitals where Indian citizens are receiving treatment and is maintaining contact with affected families to provide necessary assistance. Travelers have also been advised to plan their journeys considering potential disruptions at some Saudi airports and possible flight changes.
India has condemned recent attacks targeting Saudi civilian infrastructure and expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia in its efforts to protect its sovereignty and security.
This high-level dialogue between India and Saudi Arabia is seen as significant, as both nations continue to work towards deepening collaboration on strategic, economic, and issues related to the Indian diaspora.
