Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s largest integrated zinc and one of the top five silver producing companies, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm across its operational units in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. The company organised flag hoisting, a plantation drive, parades with employees, business partners, and community members.

All units of the company marked Independence Day with parades, plantation drives, dramas, and dance performances. As India’s leading producer of zinc, lead, and silver, Hindustan Zinc has long been a partner in the nation’s growth and progress. Addressing the flag hoisting ceremony at the company’s head office in Udaipur, Hindustan Zinc’s CHRO, Munish Vasudeva, stated that the company is moving forward in realising the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He highlighted that the production of high-quality zinc, lead, and silver is crucial for the country’s journey to become an economic and manufacturing powerhouse. He further mentioned that by enhancing capabilities, the company is dedicated to supporting the nation’s development and driving growth through innovative product solutions. Hindustan Zinc Limited has become the first Indian company to join the International Council on Mining and Metals, a significant achievement that has firmly placed India on the global map of responsible mining.
At the Zinc Smelter Debari unit, the chief guest and SBU Director Vivek Yadav hoisted the national flag, while at the Zawar Mines, IBU CEO Anshul Khandelwal performed the flag hoisting.
