Udaipur : Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s largest integrated zinc producer and among the top 10 silver producers globally, has strengthened its certified alloy portfolio with the inclusion of Hindustan Zinc Die-Casting Alloy 5 (HZDA 5) under the certification framework of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
The certification recognises the quality, reliability and performance of HZDA 5 and provides customers with additional assurance regarding consistent product quality.
BIS is India’s national quality certification system that ensures products meet prescribed standards for quality, safety and performance. For industrial customers, the certification serves as an added guarantee of product reliability and quality control.
With both HZDA 3 and HZDA 5 now BIS certified, Hindustan Zinc is offering customers a broader portfolio of certified zinc alloys. The development further strengthens the company’s position as a trusted supplier of high-quality and responsibly manufactured zinc alloy products in both domestic and international markets.
Commenting on the achievement, Arun Misra said the inclusion of HZDA 5 under BIS certification marks an important milestone in expanding the company’s certified product portfolio. HZDA 3 and HZDA 5 have been developed for applications where strength, precision, durability and high performance are essential. These zinc die-casting alloys are widely used across the automobile, engineering, infrastructure and other industrial sectors, where material quality directly influences the performance of the final product.
