Hezbollah Issues Warning: Israels Violations Will Be Met with Strong Response

Beirut, April 19: Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem stated that a ceasefire with Israel must mean a complete halt to attacks. He warned that any violation by Israel in southern Lebanon would be met with a response.

Qassem emphasized that a unilateral ceasefire is not acceptable. He made it clear that if aggressive actions continue, Hezbollah fighters will retaliate accordingly.

According to a report by Xinhua News Agency, he outlined five key conditions. These include a permanent cessation of hostilities across Lebanon, the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, the release of prisoners, the resettlement of displaced persons, and reconstruction with Arab and international assistance.

Qassem also asserted that Hezbollah will not back down and will continue to strive for Lebanon’s freedom and sovereignty.

He mentioned that Hezbollah is ready to initiate a “new chapter” of cooperation with the Lebanese government. He stressed the importance of strengthening national unity and working with governmental institutions to protect sovereignty.

A 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon came into effect at midnight on Thursday and Friday, following an announcement by Donald Trump.

However, the Israeli army reported on Saturday that it attacked fighters approaching the “Yellow Line.” This area is considered the northern boundary of the security zone established by Israel in southern Lebanon.

Witnesses and a Lebanese security source indicated that the Israeli army has also begun constructing a new military base in the eastern part of the border area near the village of Kafr Chouba.

According to security sources, Israeli army bulldozers and excavators, under the protection of a tank, were leveling the ground. These activities, which included grading, digging, and creating earth mounds, suggest that a new military base is being established, administratively linked to Kafr Chouba.

Witnesses noted that this location is the “Raba al-Taybeen” hill, situated about 1.5 kilometers from the Lebanon-Israel border, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards.
