Ranchi, 29 August (Kiran News). Heavy rainfall is expected in nine districts of Jharkhand on 30 August. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in this regard.

The districts likely to receive heavy rain include the central districts of Ranchi, Khunti, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Koderma, and Lohardaga, along with the western districts of Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar, and Chatra.
There is also a possibility of strong winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour and lightning strikes in these areas.
For 31 August as well, an alert has been issued for the possibility of strong winds (30 to 40 km/h) and lightning in some parts of the state.
In Ranchi and surrounding areas, 27.4 mm of rainfall was recorded in the past 24 hours.
On Friday, clouds remained over Ranchi and nearby regions since morning, with moderate winds blowing and a noticeable drop in temperature.
On Friday, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 30°C, Jamshedpur 32.4°C, Daltonganj 33.4°C, Bokaro 33.1°C, and Chaibasa 32.4°C.
