Bhopal, September 17 (Patrika English News): Weather conditions in Madhya Pradesh have shifted again, with the Meteorological Department issuing a warning of heavy rainfall in Khargone and Barwani districts over the next 24 hours. These areas may receive 2.5 to 4.5 inches of rainfall, officials said.

In contrast, Bhopal and Indore are expected to witness cloudy skies with light drizzles. Some districts may experience mild showers, while others will see bright sunshine.
According to the department, three cyclonic circulations are currently active around Madhya Pradesh, but their impact within the state remains limited. This is why heavy rain was not recorded in most districts on Tuesday. Similar conditions are expected on Wednesday.
Officials further stated that although sporadic heavy rainfall may occur due to local systems, widespread rainfall is unlikely. This trend has been observed over the past week, where sudden showers were triggered in districts like Bhopal and Raisen.
Meanwhile, the monsoon has begun to retreat from parts of the country. Half of Rajasthan has already seen monsoon withdrawal, along with several districts of Gujarat, Punjab, and Haryana.
So far, Madhya Pradesh has recorded an average rainfall of 42.4 inches this season.
