Chandigarh, September 3: Harsimrat Kaur Badal, a Member of Parliament from the Shiromani Akali Dal, has made serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, claiming it is suppressing the voices of Punjabis.
In a recent post on the social media platform X, she launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal. Badal stated, “Under AAP’s rule, the voices of Punjabis are being silenced. Watch this video closely. This is how Bhagwant Mann and his ‘master’ Arvind Kejriwal are keeping Punjabis quiet.”
She referred to an incident in Shero village, where a staged public relations event for the Chief Minister was taking place. A young man openly protested against AAP, and within minutes, police detained him and subjected him to severe beating.
Sharing the video, Badal asserted that it serves as evidence of how four years of absolute power have completely corrupted this ‘comedian’ and transformed him into a ‘dictator.’
She added, “Today, anyone in Punjab who raises their voice or demands accountability is silenced under AAP’s regime. Punjab is watching everything closely. And Punjab will take revenge for all these injustices.”
Notably, Badal attached a video to her post, clearly showing a young Punjabi man protesting during a speech by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The police quickly apprehended him from the rooftop where he was protesting.
In her post, she also used the hashtag #PunjabAgainstAAP.
