Greater Noida: Businessman and Family Assaulted Over Roof Stone-Throwing Dispute

Greater Noida, March 6: A dispute erupted in Jahangirpur, located in the Jewar police station area of Gautam Buddha Nagar, over stone-throwing on a rooftop. It is alleged that when a businessman opposed the stone-throwing, neighbors assaulted him and his family.

Several family members sustained injuries during the incident. Following the victim’s complaint, police have registered a case against three accused individuals and initiated an investigation.

According to reports, businessman Puneet Agarwal, a resident of Jahangirpur, lodged a complaint at the Jewar police station. He stated that on Wednesday, some neighbors were throwing stones on his rooftop. When he protested and asked them to stop, the accused began to verbally abuse him.

What started as a minor argument quickly escalated into a violent confrontation. Allegedly, neighbors Puneet (also known as Gutki), Chetan, and Kalicharan physically assaulted him. The assailants attacked with a bat, resulting in injuries to Puneet Agarwal and several family members. The altercation created chaos in the area, causing nearby residents to panic.

Hearing the commotion, locals rushed to the scene and managed to intervene, calming both parties before the situation worsened.

Reports indicate that the entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras in the vicinity, which could serve as crucial evidence during the police investigation. After the incident, the victim’s family approached the Jewar police station to file a complaint against the accused.

Station Officer Sanjay Singh confirmed that based on the victim’s complaint, police have filed charges against Puneet, Chetan, and Kalicharan under various sections of the law.
