Google Launches 2026 Accelerator Program for AI Startups in India

New Delhi, March 31: Tech giant Google has initiated the application process for its 2026 batch of the ‘Startups Accelerator’ in India. This three-month equity-free program aims to support AI-based startups across the country.

According to Google India, the accelerator specifically targets Indian startups working in emerging fields such as agentic AI, multimodal AI, physical AI, and sovereign AI. The company noted that AI is no longer limited to experimentation but is evolving towards large-scale operational solutions.

The program is open to AI-first startups ranging from seed to Series A stages, focusing on solving problems related to India or developing unique models for the global industry.

Startups in the 2026 batch will receive various benefits without giving up equity, including access to Google’s advanced AI models like Gemini, Gemma, Imagen, VO, and Lyria, along with technical support.

Additionally, startups will benefit from one-on-one mentorship with experts from Google DeepMind, Cloud, Health, and Android teams. Eligible participants will also receive access to cloud infrastructure, TPUs, and credits.

This program will assist startups in achieving product, technology, and growth-related goals through weekly tracking and dedicated managers.

Previous batches have shown impressive results. Startups like DView recorded a fourfold increase in revenue, while SuperJoin improved its accuracy and speed by 50% with the help of Gemini 3.0. Pulse identified $3 million in at-risk revenue through data analysis.

Many startups have also addressed various sectoral challenges using AI. AISteth developed a smart stethoscope that has examined over 75,000 patients. Vani AI enhanced voice processing, while Resilience AI and VideoSDK improved efficiency in their respective fields.

The accelerator program will kick off with a week-long boot camp in Bengaluru at the end of June and conclude with a ‘Demo Day’ in October. Applications will close on April 19.
