New Delhi, August 28: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, children tied rakhi to former President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday. He was seen interacting warmly with the children during the event.
After the rakhi ceremony, all the children received gifts, and their faces lit up with joy. Following this, the former President addressed journalists, extending Raksha Bandhan greetings to the citizens of the country.
He stated, “On this auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, I convey heartfelt wishes and congratulations to all citizens. This festival symbolizes not only the love between siblings but also reflects how we relate to various people in society and how we spread that connection.”
He emphasized the unique significance of Raksha Bandhan, saying, “This festival conveys a message of love, represented by this unbreakable thread that lasts a lifetime. Once again, I wish all the people of India a happy Raksha Bandhan.”
Additionally, he shared pictures of this special moment on his social media platform, X.
