Former Congress MLA Babulal Bairwa Passes Away, Ashok Gehlot Expresses Condolences

Alwar, May 3: Former Congress MLA Babulal Bairwa from Rajasthan’s Kathumar passed away on Sunday. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jaipur. Ashok Gehlot, the former Chief Minister, expressed his sorrow over Bairwa’s demise.

Babulal Bairwa had been ill for nearly ten days, suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma. He breathed his last around 3 AM during his treatment in Jaipur. His passing has cast a shadow of grief over the Kathumar region.

Bairwa served as an MLA from the Alwar’s Kathumar constituency four times, first winning election in 1980. He was elected three more times on tickets from both the BJP and Congress. In 2018, he returned to the assembly after winning on a Congress ticket.

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took to social media platform X to express his condolences, stating, “The news of the passing of former Congress MLA Babulal Bairwa from Kathumar (Alwar) is extremely sad. His demise is an irreparable loss to the region’s politics and social life.”

He further added, “His long experience as an MLA and active role in the region’s development will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving family during this difficult time. May God grant them strength to bear this loss and provide a place for the departed soul at His feet.”

Congress MLA Indira Meena also expressed her sorrow, saying, “The news of the passing of Mr. Babulal Bairwa, who served as an MLA from Kathumar (Alwar), is extremely sad. I pray to God to grant the departed soul a place at His feet and to give the grieving family strength to endure this loss.”
