Nawada, March 28: In Bihar, a flag march was organized on Saturday to ensure a peaceful and harmonious Ram Navami celebration scheduled for March 29. The event was led by District Magistrate Ravi Prakash and Superintendent of Police Abhinav Dhiman, starting from the Collectorate premises.
The march progressed from the Collectorate through Main Road, Ansar Nagar, and reached Mastan Ganj. It then continued via Sadbhavna Chowk, Shobhiya, Gondapur, and other sensitive areas, including Badi Dargah and Bhagat Singh Chowk. The primary aim of the flag march was to instill a sense of security and confidence among the public while sending a strong message against anti-social elements.
During the event, the District Magistrate emphasized that Ram Navami symbolizes brotherhood, goodwill, and peace. He urged citizens to celebrate the festival in a spirit of cooperation and harmony, adhering to the guidelines issued by the administration. Additionally, the Executive Officer of Nawada Municipality was instructed to ensure proper sanitation and to remove flags and banners within 24 hours after the procession concludes.
The Superintendent of Police reported that extensive security measures have been put in place along the procession route. This includes the deployment of additional police forces at sensitive locations, the assignment of magistrates, and enhanced surveillance through CCTV cameras and drones.
The administration made it clear that strict legal action would be taken against anyone attempting to disrupt the peace during the festival.
Furthermore, Senior Sub-Divisional Officer and Assistant Director of the District Social Security Fund, Amarnath Kumar, announced a special camp for free eye examinations and glasses distribution for needy beneficiaries, organized in collaboration with the State Health Committee of Bihar.
This initiative runs from March 23 to 30 at all Buniyaad centers across the state, including those in the Nawada district, specifically Hisua and Rajouli. The camp aims to screen individuals of all ages suffering from vision impairments and provide free glasses as needed.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this special camp at their nearest Buniyaad center (Hisua and Rajouli) and to inform their family and friends to ensure maximum participation.
