New Delhi, March 14: The Indian Premier League (IPL) has seen a total of 18 seasons, showcasing remarkable performances in batting, bowling, wicketkeeping, and fielding. Among these, a select few players have etched their names in the record books by achieving significant milestones on the field.

Let’s take a closer look at the players who have played over 250 matches in their IPL careers.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni: The legendary captain has led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five IPL titles. Dhoni holds the record for the most matches played in IPL history, featuring in 278 games since 2008. He has scored 5,439 runs at an average of 38.30.

Rohit Sharma: While Dhoni has his five titles with CSK, Rohit Sharma has guided Mumbai Indians (MI) to five championships as well. Since 2008, Rohit has participated in 272 matches, accumulating 7,046 runs at an average of 29.73. He has also scored two centuries in the league.

Virat Kohli: This iconic batsman has played all 18 seasons exclusively for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Kohli has appeared in 267 IPL matches, amassing 8,661 runs at an impressive average of 39.54. He has hit a total of eight centuries in the tournament.

Dinesh Karthik: The wicketkeeper-batsman has played 257 matches in the IPL from 2008 to 2024. During this time, he has scored 4,842 runs at an average of 26.31, including 22 half-centuries. Karthik has also hit 161 sixes and 466 fours in his IPL career.

Ravindra Jadeja: This all-rounder has participated in 254 matches, scoring 3,260 runs at an average of 27.86. Jadeja has taken 170 wickets in the league and has scored five half-centuries, along with 117 sixes and 240 fours.
