Gorakhpur, March 4: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Holi festival at Gorakhnath Temple, emphasizing that it is a celebration of social harmony, joy, and enthusiasm. He noted that such festivals are truly festive only when there is peace, goodwill, and security within society. Today, Uttar Pradesh and the entire nation are moving forward with this sense of trust.
In a conversation with media personnel at the temple complex on Wednesday morning, CM Yogi highlighted that India’s ancient traditions have preserved the legacy of Holi for thousands of years. The current generation is continuing this legacy with the same enthusiasm and joy. People from all walks of life in the state are connecting with this sacred festival, experiencing joy, and working to eliminate any discord to establish a harmonious society.
The Chief Minister reported that all Holika Dahan events in the state were conducted successfully. Over 161,000 locations celebrated Holika Dahan peacefully and enthusiastically. This ritual naturally commemorates the significant Narasimha avatar of Lord Vishnu. He stated that wherever there is chaos, disorder, or unrest in society, divine incarnations provide new inspiration to suppress negative forces, protect the virtuous, and promote positive sentiments. Throughout history, these avatars manifest in various forms, encouraging us to fulfill our roles sincerely, just as Prahlad, Shabari, or Arjuna did. This will strengthen positive forces and lead negative powers to their downfall.
CM Yogi also remarked that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is witnessing a new vision of a rapidly developing nation. Today’s India, under PM Modi, is firmly part of the heritage and development process. We can take pride in having such illustrious guidance and leadership during this Amrit Kaal of freedom. Under his leadership, India is realizing the dream of a developed and self-reliant nation. The Chief Minister extended his Holi greetings and wishes to all citizens, expressing hope that future generations will celebrate this sacred festival of unity with the same joy and enthusiasm for eternity.
