Following a record defeat to Sri Lanka, Englands captain Harry Brook admits to team mistakes and emphasizes the need for improvement.

New Delhi, October 23 (Daily Kiran) : England faced a historic defeat against Sri Lanka in a high-scoring match during the ODI tri-series held in Pakistan. Following the loss, captain Harry Brook expressed awareness of the team’s shortcomings.
During the post-match presentation, Brook described the game as an exciting contest, praising both teams. He lamented, “Unfortunately, Sri Lanka got the better of us. We didn’t perform well with the ball and played according to their strengths, allowing them to score 400 runs.”
Brook noted that this defeat marked a significant achievement for Sri Lanka, being their highest successful chase in ODI history. “For the first time in 20 years, this is a remarkable accomplishment,” he said. He emphasized the need to return to the drawing board, acknowledging where the team faltered. “Unfortunately, we didn’t bowl well. We have a great opportunity in the upcoming matches to secure a spot in the finals. We need to keep things simple and support each other to perform better in the next game.”
