New Delhi, March 7: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a national women’s conference was held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi, featuring prominent women leaders from across India.
Dr. Renuka Bokare from Kavikulaguru Kalidasa Sanskrit University emphasized that women’s education is the cornerstone of national development. She urged society to support women in dreaming big.
Dr. Bokare stated, “The aim of ‘Nari Se Narayani’ is to empower every Indian woman. Each woman should become self-reliant and fulfill her dreams through her own efforts. Another goal of this initiative is to connect women across India. This will not only foster women’s development but also lead the country to new heights, which cannot be achieved without women.”
She further stressed the importance of women from every state participating. Despite coming from different backgrounds, their qualities, nature, and emotions are similar. Appreciating the government’s initiatives for daughters, Dr. Bokare remarked, “Our Chief Minister in Delhi has said, ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, and now we have progressed to ‘Beti Badhao’. Our distinct approach is to advance daughters. I urge everyone not to limit daughters to being symbols of strength and wealth but to empower them through education and skills. Allow girls to dream and assist them in achieving those dreams. They are capable, but they also need support from both family and society.”
Discussing the thoughts of Savitribai Phule and Jyotirao Phule, she noted, “Our social reformers have always supported women’s education, and throughout history, women have had to fight hard for their right to education.”
