Beijing, June 14: According to recent statistics, as of June 10, domestic flight bookings for the Dragon Boat Festival holidays have surpassed 1.83 million. International flight bookings have also exceeded 580,000, marking an approximate 8% increase compared to last year.
Popular travel destinations include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. During the festival, traditional activities such as dragon boat races will be held in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere that attracts travelers. Flight bookings to these cities have seen an increase of over 10% compared to the previous year.
Additionally, the popularity of “grassland travel” during the holidays has reached unprecedented levels. Data indicates that Hulunbuir has emerged as one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations during the Dragon Boat Festival, where horseback riding and camping under starry nights have become new ways for tourists to escape the summer heat.
