Dilip Ghosh Urges Caution in Language from Religious Leaders Amid Political Commentary
West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh advises religious figures to choose words carefully in light of recent political statements.

Newtown, November 4 (Daily Kiran) : West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh addressed various political issues during a recent event in Newtown. He responded to comments made by Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the head of Bageshwar Dham, as well as remarks from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ghosh emphasized the need for religious figures to be cautious with their words, highlighting their significant influence over many followers.
In his remarks, Ghosh noted that controversies often arise from statements made in the public sphere. He stressed that while Shastri is entitled to his opinions, religious leaders must carefully select their words to avoid offending anyone’s religious or social sentiments.
Turning to political matters, Ghosh criticized Rahul Gandhi for his continuous opposition to the government over the past twelve years. He suggested that if Gandhi had focused on constructive efforts instead, the Congress party might not be in its current predicament.
On the issue of voter registration, Ghosh pointed out that many individuals face difficulties despite being on the electoral rolls. He mentioned that numerous people struggle to gather necessary documents related to their parents or prove their claims due to a lack of records. This situation affects thousands, and Ghosh insisted that their challenges cannot be overlooked.
Additionally, Ghosh took a jab at the recent opposition rally of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDI) in Delhi. He claimed that not only Rahul Gandhi but the entire opposition coalition was exposed during the event. While the rally anticipated an attendance of 1 million, only about 10,000 people showed up. He further criticized speeches by Mallikarjun Kharge and Mamata Banerjee, suggesting that the turnout reflects poorly on the opposition’s popularity.
