Dilip Ghosh Exposes Political Manipulation in Womens Reservation Bill Debate

New Delhi, April 19: BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has launched a sharp attack on opposition parties regarding the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill. As the BJP candidate from the Kharagpur Sadar assembly constituency, Ghosh stated that this bill has revealed the true face of parties that have long claimed to support women’s empowerment and rights.

In an interview with a news agency, Ghosh remarked, “The Women’s Reservation Bill has exposed many parties that frequently talk about women’s empowerment and rights. Their lack of support for this bill clearly shows that they are merely engaging in politics under the guise of women’s issues.”

He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken significant steps towards women’s empowerment. He noted that this bill was a crucial initiative to promote women, but it lacked support from the opposition. “The opposition does not work in the nation’s interest,” he added.

Ghosh further criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that she seeks to buy women’s votes by offering them ₹1500. “She shows no concern for women’s safety. Law and order in West Bengal has deteriorated to zero. There is no one to listen to the public’s problems. The people are frustrated, which is why they are bringing BJP to power this time. The public knows which party can ensure their development,” he stated.

In response to Prime Minister Modi’s remarks on the failure to pass the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill, BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav said, “Our Prime Minister has expressed his commitment to empowering women and bringing them into the mainstream. We will implement the reservation bill, but we currently lack sufficient support to pass it. Those who obstructed it, particularly the Congress party, will face the consequences.”

Yadav also addressed the recent incident involving the Iranian military firing on an Indian ship, stating that the Indian government has taken the matter seriously. “We have lodged a protest, and discussions are ongoing with the Iranian embassy. We hope for a resolution soon,” he concluded.
