New Delhi, March 27: On the auspicious day of Navami during Chaitra Navratri, temples in Delhi have witnessed a significant influx of devotees since morning. The Jhande Wala and Kalka Ji temples have been bustling with worshippers, eager to seek the blessings of the divine mother.
The Jhande Wala temple has been beautifully decorated, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion. The priest, Parmeshwar Ji, extended warm wishes to all devotees for the New Samvat and Ram Navami. He emphasized the importance of this day, as it marks both the birth anniversary of Lord Ram and the ninth day of Navratri, dedicated to Goddess Siddhidatri.
According to the priest, Goddess Siddhidatri fulfills the wishes of her devotees. The ritual of Kanchak Poojan holds great significance today. Those who observe a fast for the entire nine days conclude it by worshipping young girls, who are regarded as embodiments of the goddess. They offer food, clothes, fruits, or donations to these little girls.
One devotee shared their experience, stating, “It feels wonderful to be here. I come every year for all nine days of Navratri. I visit the temple in the morning and perform Kanya Poojan on Navami. Whatever I ask from Mata Rani, she fulfills it. Sometimes, I receive blessings even without asking.”
Another devotee mentioned, “We woke up at three in the morning to reach the temple on time. Being here brings immense peace to the mind. We observe a fast for nine days and only break it in the presence of the goddess.”
At Kalka Ji temple, devotees are seen standing in long queues, eagerly waiting for a glimpse of the goddess. The temple premises resonate with chants of “Jai Mata Di.” Security measures have been firmly established to ensure that devotees face no difficulties during their visit.
