The two inaugurated corridors include the Majlis Park to Maujpur-Babarpur and Majlis Park to Deepali Chowk routes. The launch of these corridors will simplify travel for millions in Delhi.
Notably, areas across the Yamuna, such as Wazirabad, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, and Karawal Nagar, will receive metro connectivity for the first time.
The Chief Minister stated that the three new metro corridors laid today will further accelerate connectivity and development in Delhi. She also mentioned the trial operations beginning on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway as another significant development for the capital.
CM Gupta remarked that under the guidance and blessings of the Prime Minister, the Delhi government has completed a year of dedicated service, working diligently and honestly in line with the Prime Minister’s principles of hard work and integrity.
She pointed out that initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, cleaning the Yamuna, and addressing the landfill mountain issue have been top priorities for the Delhi government, with efforts being made in mission mode.
Furthermore, inspired by the Prime Minister’s philosophy of inclusive development, 70 Atal Canteens have been launched in Delhi, providing affordable meals to the poor, dependents, and laborers at minimal prices. Approximately 70,000 people dine at these canteens daily.
