Mumbai, September 26 (Daily Kiran) : On September 26, the Chinese Consulate in Mumbai hosted the China-India Youth Mid-Autumn Festival, a cultural exchange event that drew around 30 Indian youths learning Chinese. Consul General Qin Qye addressed the attendees, highlighting the significance of the festival.
Qin noted that this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival coincided with Ganesh Chaturthi in India, both celebrations symbolizing harvest and fulfillment. He emphasized the importance of global cooperation in the face of change and instability. He referenced Chinese President Xi Jinping’s four major global initiatives and significant proposals presented during the recent 18th BRICS Summit, aimed at fostering world peace and strengthening China-India relations.
The consul general described the event as a reflection of the cultural exchange between China and India. He encouraged the young participants to master the Chinese language and become ambassadors of friendship between the two nations.
The event included a screening of the film “Chang’an,” tastings of traditional Chinese dishes and mooncakes, and an immersive experience of Chinese traditional culture, all set against a festive backdrop.
