New York, September 9 (Kiran News) — Artificial intelligence is expanding the threat landscape for cybersecurity firms, according to CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz, who spoke at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference on Tuesday.

“AI is minting more adversaries,” Kurtz said, noting that his team has already detected malware leveraging public GPT models to assess systems, write custom scripts, and exfiltrate data.
Growing Cybersecurity Demand
Despite the risks, the rise of AI-driven threats is fueling demand for cybersecurity solutions. CrowdStrike reported a 21% year-over-year sales increase in its fiscal second quarter to $1.17 billion, with annual recurring revenue (ARR) up 20% to $4.66 billion.
For the current quarter, CrowdStrike guided revenue between $1.21 billion and $1.22 billion, slightly below Wall Street’s expectation of $1.23 billion. The company raised the low end of its full-year sales guidance to $4.75 billion from $4.74 billion.
Analyst Reaction
Some analysts questioned why stronger ARR growth did not translate into higher near-term revenue. Jefferies analyst Joseph Gallo suggested that continued discounting or partner incentives may be weighing on reported sales.

Outlook and Resilience
Kurtz said CrowdStrike’s business has “accelerated” and expects strong growth through the second half of 2025. He emphasized that customer trust remains strong even after last year’s outage that impacted large enterprises using its technology.
“We’ve strengthened our customer relationships. People love our technology, our platform, and the fact that we’re solving one of the hardest problems — stopping the breach,” Kurtz said.
