New Delhi, October 19 (Daily Kiran): The Congress party on Saturday released its second list of candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, announcing five new names. With this, the party has so far declared a total of 53 candidates.

As per the list, Shashwat Kedar Pandey will contest from Narkatiaganj, Mohammad Kamarul Huda from Kishanganj, Jitendra Yadav from Purnia, Mohan Srivastava from Gaya Town, and Mohammad Irfan Alam from Kasba.
In the earlier list, Congress had announced 48 candidates. The new list includes three Muslim candidates, taking the total number of Muslim nominees fielded by the party to seven.
The Congress is contesting the Bihar Assembly elections as part of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance), which also includes other opposition parties.
