Congress Leaders Demand Prime Minister and Home Ministers Presence in Parliament

Mumbai, August 7: Congress leader Naseem Khan has urged that both Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi share a common demand: the Prime Minister and the Home Minister should appear in Parliament to address their questions. The Prime Minister must accept his moral responsibility.

During a conversation with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, discussions also touched on women’s reservation and delimitation. Khan criticized Rijiju’s inconsistent stance, stating that he speaks differently in private compared to his media statements.

Khan reiterated that the Prime Minister and Home Minister must come to Parliament and respond to their inquiries, acknowledging their moral obligations. He questioned the reasons behind the Prime Minister and Home Minister’s absence from Parliament. The government must recognize its moral responsibilities, especially after incidents of violence against young students and misconduct towards female students. Rahul Gandhi is demanding discussions on these pressing issues.

Khan also made sharp remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s active presence on social media. He claimed that social media helped Modi’s party gain power in 2014 due to misleading narratives. Khan suggested that Modi seems to believe that platforms like Instagram and Facebook could jeopardize his position. This is why he is trying to engage with young students on Instagram, but the youth are already aware of the government’s failures.

He questioned why Modi engages on Instagram while neglecting to visit flood-affected states. Khan accused the Modi government of ruling through deceitful politics, asserting that such tactics will no longer be effective.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat recently mentioned the need to abandon the benefits of reservations after discussions with Generation Z and Generation Alpha. Khan questioned why Bhagwat felt the need to engage with these generations, suggesting that the RSS and BJP are fearful.

He stated that the government’s poor decisions are jeopardizing the futures of deserving students from Generation Z and Generation Alpha, leading to widespread anger among the youth. Protests have erupted in several states, forcing the government to yield.

Khan expressed that the central government is now apprehensive about the potential voting power of 340-350 million Generation Z and Generation Alpha voters in the 2029 elections, indicating a loss of ground for the central government.
