Congress Ecosystem Compromised, Poses Danger to Democracy: Pradeep Bhandari

New Delhi, March 28: BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari has alleged that there exists a deep and systematic link between the Congress party and a global network, which he claims is working to influence democratic processes.

He stated, “The Congress ecosystem is completely compromised!” Bhandari referenced a U.S.-based investigation that accuses businessman Neville Roy Singham, linked to Shanghai, of injecting $600 million into a dark money network through 2,000 non-profit organizations to destabilize democracy. He also mentioned alleged connections to forums associated with the Chinese Communist Party.

Bhandari recalled when Indian agencies uncovered the alleged foreign funding links of Neville Roy Singham and NewsClick, revealing their intent to destabilize India’s democracy. He noted that Congress hastily labeled this as an attack on freedom of expression, supporting the network from the 2021 raid to actions taken in 2023.

He further asserted, “It is becoming clear that Congress is compromised; it is part of a global nexus that funds organizations to destabilize democracy!” He reinforced this claim by referencing Rahul Gandhi’s previous comments about wanting to fight the Indian state.

This statement comes in the context of claims made in Fox News’ investigation, which discusses a transnational influence network and cites statements indicating Singham’s involvement.
