CMG Broadcasts the 2026 Lantern Festival Gala

Beijing, March 3: On Tuesday, the Chinese traditional Lantern Festival was celebrated. To mark this occasion, China Media Group (CMG) presented the ‘2026 Lantern Festival Gala’ at 8 PM.

The event showcased the spirit of joy and celebration associated with the Lantern Festival, highlighting themes of harmony and reunion. It featured a variety of performances, including songs, dances, opera, sketches, comedy, and magic, bringing together Chinese and international friends to celebrate the festival.

Throughout the program, traditional activities such as lantern viewing, riddle solving, and making tangyuan (rice balls) were part of the festivities. This year’s gala illuminated four sub-centers: Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province; Yiwu in Zhejiang Province; Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province; and Yibin in Sichuan Province, all radiating vibrant colors and excitement.

Notably, CMG’s ‘2026 Lantern Festival Gala’ was broadcast simultaneously across various television channels, radio frequencies, and new media platforms.
