Jabalpur, April 9: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has responded to Congress’s criticisms regarding farmers’ issues. He stated that the Congress party has committed so many wrongs against farmers that even two generations of apologies would not suffice.
While inaugurating the “Gao-Basti Chalo Abhiyan” as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s foundation day at Manas Bhawan in Jabalpur, Yadav emphasized that BJP workers operate under the principle of “Nation First.” In contrast, he accused Congress and its members of following a policy of appeasement. He described Congress as an organization created by the British, lacking any ideology. He asserted that the personal interests of Congress leaders have cost the nation dearly since independence.
Yadav remarked that the Congress party has wronged farmers to such an extent that even two generations of apologies would be insufficient. He noted that the BJP has never compromised on its ideology since the formation of the Janata Sangh. The objectives that led to the establishment of the Janata Sangh continue to guide the party’s service to the country and its people.
He criticized Congress for lacking its own ideology. Yadav recalled how, during the establishment of Banaras Hindu University by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, then-Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was preoccupied with issues related to the Somnath Temple and the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He highlighted that personal interests of some Congress leaders have resulted in the loss of innocent lives in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister mentioned that Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee opposed the dual governance system in Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the establishment of the Janata Sangh. He asserted that since its inception in 1952, the BJP has never compromised on its ideology. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for abolishing Article 370, which he believes has removed a historical stain. Yadav stated that the BJP has always upheld the values of Sanatan culture. He noted that after the Supreme Court’s decision, Modi has facilitated the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, showcasing India’s unified spirit.
Cabinet Minister Rakesh Singh added that the tireless efforts of party workers have made the BJP an unbeatable force. He urged all workers to communicate the government’s pro-people and welfare achievements to the public.
During the event, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was warmly welcomed with a large garland. He also honored senior party workers during the launch of the “Gao-Basti Chalo Abhiyan.”
