Clash in Modinagar Leaves Two Injured, Three Detained by Police

A dispute over a pathway in Modinagar led to a violent altercation, injuring two and resulting in three arrests by local police.

Modinagar, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : A violent altercation occurred in Modinagar, Ghaziabad, on October 17, leaving two individuals injured. The incident took place in the Mangla Vihar Colony, where a disagreement over a pathway escalated into a physical confrontation between two groups.

According to police reports, the Modinagar station received a call via Dial 112 regarding the fight. Officers arrived promptly at the scene to find that a verbal dispute had turned physical. Eyewitnesses saw both parties engaging in the brawl, prompting police intervention to restore order.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Siddharth Gautam stated that upon investigation, it was determined that the conflict arose from a disagreement about passing through the area. The injured parties, a father and son identified as Nikhil, sustained minor injuries and underwent medical examinations.

Following the incident, police registered a case based on the complaint from the injured party. Three individuals from the opposing group have been taken into custody. Authorities confirmed that peace has been restored in the area, and further legal actions are underway.

This incident follows another violent clash in the Sahibabad area earlier last week, where a dispute over land led to gunfire, resulting in a fatality. The police are continuing their investigations into both incidents to ensure community safety.
