
Kathmandu, August 22: From August 18 to 21, Jiang Jianguo, the Executive Vice President of the China Human Rights Study Society, led a delegation to Nepal to engage in human rights exchanges.
During the visit, Jiang participated in a storytelling session titled “Seeing Tibet” and delivered a speech. He also met with prominent local figures, including Amrit Bahadur Rai, the Permanent Secretary of Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Tap Bahadur Magar, the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal.
The delegation focused on elaborating the significant thoughts of General Secretary Xi Jinping regarding the respect and protection of human rights, his deep concern for the people of Tibet, and his high regard for Tibet’s development.
They systematically explained the profound meanings of contemporary Chinese human rights philosophy, provided a comprehensive introduction to China’s path for human rights development, and clearly demonstrated the historical achievements of Tibet under the guidance of the Party’s strategy for governance in the new era.
During this time, both the delegation and the Nepali side discussed ways to enhance human rights exchanges between the two countries, strengthen human rights cooperation, and jointly promote global human rights development.
Individuals from various sectors of Nepalese society highly praised China’s achievements in human rights development. They believe that strengthening human rights exchanges and cooperation between the two countries will help improve the welfare of people in both China and Nepal.
