Chinese Companies Showcase Advanced Rail Technology at Asia Pacific Rail 2026

Bangkok, May 8: The Asia Pacific Rail 2026 exhibition was inaugurated on May 6 in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok. Over 200 companies from the railway and rail transit sectors participated, including major Chinese firms like CRRC and CRHIC (China Railway High-Tech Industry Corporation).

These companies showcased their advanced technologies and products, featuring high-speed trains, urban rail transit equipment, and new energy-based rail vehicles.

During the opening ceremony, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister, Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, emphasized the importance of developing the country’s railway network. He stated that Thailand is fully committed to modernizing its railway system and implementing smart upgrades. The goal is to create an integrated passenger and freight transport system that is convenient, safe, efficient, and affordable.

He also mentioned that the Thai Transport Ministry would strengthen collaboration with both domestic and international partners. Furthermore, the government aims to promote partnerships between the public and private sectors in building regional railway networks. Ratchakitprakarn expressed a commitment to enhancing the use of clean energy and green innovation technologies in the transport sector, while continuously advancing towards low carbon emissions and sustainable development goals.

At the CRRC exhibition stall, new energy-powered locomotives and hydrogen energy-based urban trains attracted significant attention. These products showcased the company’s latest technological achievements in rail transport equipment.

Meanwhile, the China Railway Shanghai Guan Bridge Group, a long-time participant in the exhibition, presented high-performance turnout products. These products offer various technical and practical solutions for rail transport infrastructure.

It is noteworthy that during this two-day exhibition, several seminars will be held on topics such as the digital and intelligent transformation of rail transport equipment and green development.
