
Beijing, April 2: The spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce, He Yatong, addressed reporters during a regular press conference held in the capital, Beijing, on Thursday. He responded to questions regarding the economic and trade relations between China and the United States.
He stated that under the strategic guidance of agreements reached by the presidents of both countries last year, China and the U.S. have achieved significant consensus across various sectors through six rounds of economic and trade talks. This has led to increased stability and certainty in bilateral trade relations and the global economy.
The spokesperson emphasized that mutual respect, equality, and dialogue are the best ways to reduce differences and resolve issues. He urged both parties to effectively implement the important agreements made between the two presidents and the outcomes of previous consultations. Additionally, he called for strengthening the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism, enhancing dialogue and communication, managing differences in a balanced manner, and expanding practical cooperation to ensure healthy, stable, and sustainable development of bilateral trade relations.
