China Highlights Unyielding Evidence of Japanese Militarism Crimes

Beijing, May 8: In a recent report, China marked the 80th anniversary of the Tokyo Trials by launching a book titled “The Complete Chinese Version of the Military Tribunal Process for the Far East.” This event also saw the public release of the diary of David Nelson Sutton, an American deputy prosecutor who participated in the Tokyo Trials. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Qian emphasized during a press conference that this release serves as undeniable evidence of the numerous crimes committed by American militarism.

The spokesperson noted that despite 80 years passing, Japan’s right-wing factions have never conducted a deep self-examination of their history. They continue to attempt to obscure their crimes of aggression, fostering a distorted historical narrative within Japanese society. Some Japanese politicians frequently visit the Yasukuni Shrine, where plaques honoring Class A war criminals from World War II are displayed. This behavior signifies their rejection of the Tokyo Trials’ verdicts and a challenge to the post-war international order.

Lin Qian asserted that the realities of history cannot be denied. There must be no allowance for crossing the final line of justice, nor can there be any tolerance for challenging the post-war international order. Peace-loving nations around the world will not permit a reversal of aggression cases and will staunchly oppose the audacious actions of what is termed a new form of militarism in Japan.
