New Delhi, March 21: On the occasion of his grandson Nara Devansh’s birthday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu worshipped at the Tirumala temple with his family on Saturday. As part of the annual tradition, the Chief Minister participated in the sacred service to Lord Venkateswara. Following the rituals, he distributed food offerings to devotees at the Maatrushri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annadanam complex alongside his family members.
The Chief Minister’s family includes his wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari, the daughter of TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao, and their son Nara Lokesh, who has also served as a minister in the TDP government. The entire family gathered at the Tirumala temple to celebrate Nara Devansh’s special day. After the worship, the Chief Minister, along with Nara Devansh and Lokesh, served food offerings to the devotees.
Notably, last year on March 21, the family also visited the Vengamamba Annadanam center, where they donated a total of ₹44 lakh for meals: ₹10 lakh for breakfast, ₹17 lakh for lunch, and ₹17 lakh for dinner. This annual pilgrimage to seek blessings from Lord Tirupati Balaji has become a cherished tradition for CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and his family.
In a separate matter, on Friday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to prepare a detailed assessment of crop damage caused by strong winds, unseasonal rains, and storms across the state within two days. During a video conference from his camp office with district collectors and senior officials, he was informed that 42 mandals in 12 districts had suffered crop losses. Damaged crops include maize over 4,840 hectares, rice over 1,534 hectares, and black gram over 310 hectares, with estimated losses around ₹40 crore.
