Raipur, August 28: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended his warm wishes to the residents of the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. During the celebrations, a woman tied a rakhi on the wrist of CM Sai in Raipur.
CM Sai stated, “Today is Raksha Bandhan. First of all, I want to wish all the people of Chhattisgarh and my sisters a very happy Raksha Bandhan.”
Regarding his recent visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister shared that he had gone for a day. He mentioned, “During my last visit to Delhi, I couldn’t meet the national president. He gave me time on Thursday, so I met him at night and informed him about the people of Chhattisgarh.”
Expressing sorrow over the devastating floods in Nepal, CM Vishnu Deo Sai said, “It is very sad news that severe floods have occurred in Nepal. Reports are coming in about our country and state’s people being missing. We express our condolences.”
He informed that the government has set up a control room and issued a helpline number for assistance. “If anyone needs help, they can call that number. The government will definitely stand by them,” he assured.
According to the latest reports, the death toll from the catastrophic floods in Nepal’s Bhotekoshi River has risen to 469, with 977 people still missing. This information was released by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) on Friday.
On the upcoming municipal elections, CM Sai remarked that work is progressing well everywhere, and the Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to achieve a good victory in the upcoming elections. He stated, “In the past two and a half years, we have done good work everywhere.”
