New Delhi, April 1: Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated this Thursday, marking a special occasion for devotees of Lord Rama. According to Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the head of Bageshwar Dham, there are eight sacred offerings that are particularly dear to Lord Hanuman. Presenting these offerings can bring immense joy to Hanuman Ji and help devotees overcome their greatest challenges.
These offerings, made with devotion, are believed to fulfill wishes and bring peace and happiness into oneβs life. Hanuman Ji is regarded as the giver of the eight Siddhis and nine Nidhis, and these eight offerings are specifically recommended to please him.
1. Chana and Jaggery: The combination of chana (gram) and jaggery is especially favored by Hanuman Ji. Jaggery symbolizes energy, while chana represents strength. Offering this mix is said to alleviate Manglik dosha and enhance both physical and mental power.
2. Sweet Betel Leaf: Offering a betel leaf without tobacco is believed to fulfill desires. This offering is highly cherished by Hanuman Ji.
3. Raw Coconut: A whole raw coconut should be offered without breaking it. This is thought to ensure that prayers are accepted and wishes are granted.
4. Imarti: Offering imarti made with pure ghee brings joy to Hanuman Ji.
5. Motichoor Laddus: Presenting motichoor laddus is said to grant complete devotion.
6. Saffron Rice: Offering rice made with saffron is believed to remove Manglik dosha and bring prosperity and happiness.
7. Bread: Simple bread or bread smeared with pure ghee is thought to relieve ailments and promote good health.
8. Panchmeva: A mixture of raisins, dried dates, cashews, fox nuts, and chironji, offering Panchmeva is believed to fulfill aspirations.
It is a common belief that presenting these offerings with faith and devotion can help Hanuman Ji alleviate the troubles of his devotees. Particularly on occasions like his birthday, Tuesdays, and Saturdays, offering these items is considered highly auspicious. On Hanuman Jayanti, presenting these offerings along with reciting Hanuman Chalisa, Sundarkand, or Shri Ram Charit Manas is said to yield special blessings.
