New Delhi, August 26: A grand event titled ‘5 Years Unmatched’ was held at Talkatora Stadium to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State (SADDS). A large number of members from the Sikh community attended the celebration. During the event, leaders highlighted the party’s ideology, achievements over the past five years, and their contributions to community service.
Jaspreet Singh Karmasar, Chairman of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee’s Religious Propagation Committee, stated, “Political parties have their ideologies. We are following the same ideology that led to the establishment of the Shiromani Akali Dal. This ideology had somewhat faded in Punjab, which is why we formed our new party five years ago to revive and maintain it. Working for the party requires only one quality: honesty. We must serve our party and organization with complete integrity. Our party is religious, and its purpose is to promote our faith and our people. This aspect was diminishing in Punjab’s Akali Dal, which is why we had to create our own party.”
Atma Singh Lubana, Junior Vice President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, remarked, “Since the formation of Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State (SADDS), we have accomplished many significant tasks, whether in the religious sector or through other major programs. We celebrated the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at the Red Fort.”
Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, General Secretary of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, added, “Five years ago, the Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi State was launched. Over these five years, we have served the Delhi Sikh community in various ways. We have worked on issues including religious propagation, education, and legal matters. We are seeing positive results, which is why you can feel the enthusiasm in the community today. I am very happy and congratulate the Delhi Sikh community.”
