Celebrating 25 Years of Kasautii Zindagii Kay: Sejaan Khan Remembers Iconic Duo

Mumbai, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : The iconic television series ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ has marked its 25th anniversary, and actor Sejaan Khan took a moment to reminisce about the show that left a lasting impact on audiences. He shared nostalgic photos featuring himself and actress Shweta Tiwari, who portrayed the beloved characters Anurag Basu and Prerna Sharma.

In his social media post, Sejaan celebrated the silver jubilee, expressing his gratitude for the series’ legacy. He shared a collage of memorable scenes from the original series, captioning it with, “Happy Silver Jubilee to ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ on completing 25 years.” Interestingly, he did not tag his co-star Shweta Tiwari, hinting at their tumultuous off-screen relationship during the show’s run.

Both actors have previously acknowledged their disagreements, which led to a period of silence between them, though they continued to work together professionally. The show aired successfully from 2001 to 2008 on Star Plus, produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the Balaji Telefilms banner. It became one of Indian television’s most popular daily soaps, captivating viewers with the love story of Prerna Sharma and Anurag Basu.

One of the show’s most memorable visual elements was the dramatic use of Prerna’s dupatta, symbolizing the emotional and romantic moments shared between the lead characters. Later in the series, actor Ronit Roy joined the cast as Rishabh Bajaj, and the show introduced fans to one of Indian television’s most iconic villains, Komolika, played by Urvashi Dholakia.
