Calls for Implementation of 25th Amendment Against Trump Grow in the U.S.

Washington, April 6: There is a rising demand for the implementation of the 25th Amendment against U.S. President Donald Trump. This follows a controversial post he made on Truth Social targeting Iran with harsh language on Easter morning. In response, American lawmakers are calling for the application of the 25th Amendment, suggesting that Trump may not be mentally fit for office.

Democratic Senator Chris Murphy from Connecticut expressed on social media platform X, “If I were in Trump’s cabinet, I would inform constitutional lawyers about the 25th Amendment this Easter.”

Democratic Representative Yasmeen Ansari also tweeted, “The 25th Amendment exists for a reason.” This post was shared by the verified Oversight Dems account.

Former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan commented, “The President’s Easter message warrants the cabinet to seriously consider implementing the 25th Amendment.”

Another appeal from Democratic Representative Melanie Stansbury stated, “The emperor has no clothes. It’s time for the 25th Amendment. Congress and the cabinet must act.”

Trump’s former supporter, Marjorie Taylor Greene, shared a lengthy post urging the government to intervene in Trump’s alleged madness. She stated, “I know all of you and him. He has gone insane, and you are all complicit.”

White House reporter SV Date remarked, “He has lost his mind. This falls under the 25th Amendment.”

Trump’s critics, including former Congressman Joe Walsh, pointed to his Easter morning post, noting that just two days prior, one of his “spiritual advisors” compared him to Jesus Christ. He stated, “He will always be a stain on this country and the world. It’s time for the 25th Amendment.”

Similarly, Anthony Scaramucci, who served as White House Communications Director for 11 historic days during Trump’s first term, wrote, “This is the moment our founders believed it best to remove a madman from the executive office. The 25th Amendment formalizes this, but more people should be demanding his removal now.”

The post that has sparked such uproar included a warning to Iran, stating, “Tuesday will be known in Iran as ‘Power Plant’ and ‘Bridge Day,’ a unique event. Foolish people, open this waterway (Strait of Hormuz) immediately, or prepare to face hell—just watch! God bless.”

It’s important to note that the 25th Amendment provides a process whereby the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet can choose to replace the President if he is unable to perform his duties, with the Vice President then assuming the role of President.
