BPSC Vacancy 2025: Applications Open for 251 Posts in Two New Recruitments, No Exam for One Post

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released advertisements for two more recruitments. Applications will start from 2 September for a total of 251 posts, including 218 posts of Head of Department (HOD) in various subjects in Government Polytechnic Institutes and 33 posts under Bihar Sports Service Cadre.

Details of BPSC HOD Recruitment

BPSC has announced 218 vacancies for the post of Head of Department in various branches in government polytechnic institutions. The last date to apply is 30 September 2025. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online at bpsc.bihar.gov.in from 2 September.

Eligibility: First class Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with PhD in the relevant branch, or Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the relevant branch. Degrees/diplomas from distance education or open universities are not valid for engineering/technology subjects. For humanities and sciences, degrees from UGC and AICTE-recognised institutions through distance education are valid.

Age Limit: Minimum age 33 years, no upper age limit. Retirement age is 65 years.

Selection: No written examination. Merit will be prepared based on degree marks, academic background, and interview.

BPSC Sports Officer Recruitment – 33 Posts

• Pay Scale: Level-6

• Eligibility:

  • Graduation degree from a recognised university.

  • Diploma in sports coaching from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (SAI) or a postgraduate diploma (PGDSC) in sports coaching from LNIPE Gwalior, Central Sports University, UGC-recognised or Bihar Sports University.

  • Sports Achievements: Must have represented the country in recognised competitions or represented the state in national/international championships (Olympics, Commonwealth, Asian Games), All India Inter University/National School Games/National Sports Festival, or inter-district/inter-school/inter-college competitions.

• Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025):

  • Minimum: 21 years

  • Maximum for Unreserved (Male): 37 years

  • OBC/Most Backward Class (Male & Female) and Unreserved (Female): 40 years

  • SC/ST (Male & Female): 42 years

Selection Process:

1. Three stages:

   • Stage 1: Hindi Language (qualifying) and two objective papers.

   • Stage 2: Verification of sports achievements and graduation certificate, and marks on professional sports courses.

   • Stage 3: Interview.

Application Fee: ₹100 for both recruitments.
