Beijing, April 7: According to data from online platforms, the box office earnings during the Qingming Festival holidays up to April 6, 2026, reached 305 million yuan.

The total number of screenings was 14,549,900, setting a record for the highest number of screenings during the Qingming Festival in Chinese film history.

The films that topped the box office chart included ‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie,’ ‘I, Shaokao,’ ‘Project Hail Mary,’ ‘Game of Identity,’ and ‘Now I Met Him.’

This year, approximately 20 films were released during the Qingming Festival holidays. ‘I, Shaokao’ focuses on the relationship between mothers and daughters, showcasing how women from two generations navigate conflict and reconciliation.

The film ‘Now I Met Him’ tells a touching story between a mother and son through diary entries. ‘Game of Identity’ captivated audiences with its theme of identity exchange. The imported animated film ‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ features the galactic adventures of Mario and Luigi.
