Patna, April 1: Sanjay Sarawagi, the President of Bihar BJP, has made serious allegations against the Congress and Communist parties, claiming they have put the nation in the hands of foreigners. His comments came in response to discussions surrounding the Foreign Contribution Regulation Amendment Act (FCRA), the situation in Bihar, and remarks from Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
In an interview with IANS, Sarawagi stated, “The census process is beginning across the country after 2011, and a caste-based census will be conducted at the national level. Bihar has already completed this process. Once the caste census report is released, new development initiatives will follow.”
Responding to concerns raised by Hemant Soren regarding the census expenses, Sarawagi accused Soren and leaders like Tejashwi Yadav and Lalu Prasad Yadav of misusing public funds. He highlighted, “Tejashwi Yadav has installed large air conditioners in toilets and kitchens. The misuse of public funds by Arvind Kejriwal’s party in Delhi is also well-known.”
Commenting on the recent shooting of a businessman in Patna, Sarawagi assured that swift action is being taken. He noted that criminals have been arrested in Nalanda, a police officer has been suspended, and a committee led by the Chief Secretary has been formed to investigate the incident. “These are not the days of jungle raj before 2005. The rule of law is established here,” he asserted.
On the opposition’s remarks regarding the FCRA Amendment Act, Sarawagi stated, “The Congress and Communist parties have effectively mortgaged the country to foreign powers. Why are they uncomfortable now that the FCRA Amendment Bill is being introduced? Its purpose is clear: to prevent the misuse of foreign funds against national security and the interests of the country. This will weaken foreign powers. This bill, brought under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is in the national interest.”
