Kolkata, March 4: The BJP has announced its candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections, naming Rahul Sinha from West Bengal. In response, Sinha expressed his gratitude to the party’s top leadership.
Speaking to the media in Kolkata, Sinha stated, “I thank the party, as this nomination is not just a result of my efforts but also of the hard work of every party worker. This recognition serves as new inspiration for those who have been working quietly. I promise to work in Parliament with honesty and dedication.”
He added, “I am very pleased to be entrusted with such a significant responsibility on this auspicious day. A message has been sent across Bengal that there is no place for despair. The party takes care of everyone. If you stay on the right path, you will achieve much. Today, the party has proven this. It will instill hope among all workers that the party leadership will eventually assign us responsibilities. Many have told me that I receive nothing, but today the party has made the right decision at the right time. This will rejuvenate the old workers.”
Sinha emphasized, “I will showcase the true picture of West Bengal in the Rajya Sabha. Our Prime Minister is doing excellent work in the country, and the opposition is trying to undermine him. We will certainly raise our voices against this, as a new government will come to Bengal, replacing the current destructive one, and Bengal will emerge in a new role.”
Commenting on TMC’s Rajya Sabha nominations, Sinha remarked, “The Trinamool Congress claims to represent Bengalis, but when it comes time to send candidates to the Rajya Sabha, they choose half Bengalis and half Hindi speakers. What does that mean? If they are so devoted to Bengali culture, why did they send two Hindi speakers? The truth is they have no policy and only spread rumors.”
Criticizing the TMC government, Sinha noted, “All the youth are leaving for jobs elsewhere. Whose fault is that? No industrialists are investing in the state. This is the fault of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Trinamool Congress.”
