BJPs Hemant Khandelwal Critiques Congress as Family-Based Party

Bhopal, April 9: Hemant Khandelwal, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh, has asserted that the BJP is an ideology-driven party, while Congress and other parties are based on individuals and families. He emphasized the significant difference between the two parties. Bundelkhand, he noted, holds a special place in the hearts of the BJP organization and government.

During his visit to Bundelkhand, Khandelwal attended district meetings and gatherings of elected representatives in Orchha and Tikamgarh. Speaking at the ‘Gao-Basti Chalo’ campaign, he reiterated that the BJP is rooted in ideology, contrasting it with Congress and other political parties that engage in family-centric politics. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visionary policies and his status as one of the world’s most popular leaders.

Khandelwal highlighted that under Modi’s leadership, the central government and the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, are working towards the welfare and economic empowerment of all societal classes. He stated that Bundelkhand is central to the BJP’s organization and governance. The ‘Gao-Basti Chalo’ campaign aims to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.

He further noted that Modi’s policies and initiatives have significantly improved the lives of citizens. The central and state BJP governments are implementing numerous schemes for the welfare of various social classes. The Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme aims to provide permanent housing for the poor, while the PM Road Scheme connects villages with roads. The Ujjwala Scheme has provided gas connections to millions across the country, and the Ayushman Scheme offers free medical treatment up to five lakh rupees for the underprivileged. Additionally, the state government supports over 1.25 crore women through the Ladli scheme, granting them 1500 rupees monthly to empower them economically. The Ladli Laxmi Scheme has created nearly 50 lakh wealthy daughters.

Khandelwal emphasized that the BJP is firmly rooted in its ideology, unlike Congress, which he claims lacks a clear ideological foundation. He recalled that Mahatma Gandhi had once suggested the dissolution of Congress after India’s independence, and he believes the party is now fading away. The BJP’s goal is to promote ideology-based development, and he urged party members to contribute to this cause. He credited the party’s grassroots connection to the dedication of its workers, who engage with the public not just during elections but daily.

Khandelwal concluded by stating that Bundelkhand is vital to the BJP organization and government. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has sanctioned 85 crore and then 100 crore rupees for the construction of the Shri Ram Raja Lok. The Shri Ram temple in Orchha is not only significant for India but also for the world, where Lord Ram is worshipped as a king, not just a deity.
