New Delhi, August 12: BJP MP Dharmshila Gupta commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his initiatives, including the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign and the complete rendition of ‘Vande Mataram‘ at the Red Fort for the first time. In an interview, Gupta criticized former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for only allowing two paragraphs of ‘Vande Mataram’ to be sung, claiming that the Nehru family contributed to the division of the country and the creation of Pakistan.
Gupta stated, “Prime Minister Modi embodies patriotism. His visionary thinking will propel the nation forward. He has inspired us with his call for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Man Tiranga,’ meaning the tricolor resides in every Indian’s heart. Unlike the opposition, we will focus on national interests and work for the country’s welfare. These two words are essential for igniting a spirit of patriotism across the nation.”
She described the complete rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ from the Red Fort as a historic moment for every Indian. “This year, we celebrate the 80th Independence Day, and for the first time since independence, the entire ‘Vande Mataram’ will be sung. This is a moment of pride for India,” she added.
Gupta emphasized that India is a country of eternal culture and civilization, which PM Modi is bringing to the forefront. She criticized Nehru’s cabinet for deciding to sing only two paragraphs of ‘Vande Mataram’ to appease certain communities, stating that the Nehru family played a role in the country’s partition, giving a part to Jinnah to create Pakistan and establishing a secular India to preserve their power. “This is injustice to the people of India,” she remarked.
Responding to Congress MP Pawan Khera’s comments, Gupta expressed her surprise, stating, “I am astonished that Pawan Khera is saying such things. Our students are the future of the country. They study to create a better future for themselves. Pawan Khera is trying to divide the youth and create unrest among them.”
