BJP Leaders Criticize Rahul Gandhi at Opposition Rally in Delhi

BJP leaders target Rahul Gandhi and the opposition, questioning their credibility and commitment to democracy during a rally in Delhi.

New Delhi, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Central government ministers Giriraj Singh and Prahlad Joshi launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the opposition during a rally in New Delhi. Singh mocked the turnout at the event, suggesting that claims of millions attending were exaggerated, as significantly fewer people were present.

Speaking to reporters, Singh remarked that the “air has gone out of Rahul Gandhi’s balloon.” He noted that while the rally was said to include representatives from 20 parties, the actual attendance was disappointing.

Singh raised concerns about whether the country would be governed by the Constitution or merely by someone’s words. He emphasized that India is a democracy that operates under constitutional law, not a monarchy. He accused the opposition of attempting to instigate a civil war-like situation, asserting that the youth of the nation are following the path of Swami Vivekananda and have rejected terrorism.

He further criticized the opposition for being out of power in several states for an extended period. If they believe votes have been stolen, he suggested they should resign from their positions in areas where they govern, arguing that voters have simply stopped supporting them.

Singh also directed his criticism at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming she aimed to turn the state into a “Bangladesh” and stating that the people of Bengal would hold her accountable for every penny.

Meanwhile, Prahlad Joshi remarked on the opposition’s previous mock parliamentary sessions and their current rally, asserting that the public continues to reject them. He contended that these leaders lack faith in constitutional institutions, recalling their role in the 1975 Emergency, which weakened the system and imposed media restrictions. He questioned their current calls for democracy.

Joshi pointed out that the same Election Commission that conducted elections in Kerala was under the Modi government, and he welcomed their victories in various states, including Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand. He accused Rahul Gandhi of not putting in enough effort.

He also questioned the collaboration between Gandhi and Banerjee, asking why they didn’t join forces during elections in West Bengal, where Gandhi had previously criticized Banerjee’s government. Now, he suggested, they are blaming vote theft after their losses.

Joshi concluded by stating that Gandhi would remain a “mock Prime Minister” for the foreseeable future, implying that if he is content with that role, he should continue in it.
