BJP Leader RP Singh Denounces Anarchy Under the Guise of Protests

RP Singh criticizes opposition parties for inciting chaos during protests, emphasizing the importance of maintaining order in democracy.

New Delhi, October 21 (Daily Kiran) : Indian politician RP Singh, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has strongly criticized opposition parties, particularly focusing on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Cockroach People’s Party, amidst ongoing discussions about protests, court comments, and delimitation issues. Singh asserted that while the right to protest is fundamental in a democracy, it should not serve as a cover for chaos.

Responding to allegations that Mann was obstructed at the airport, Singh stated he was unaware of such an incident. He suggested that the issue raised by Mann was related to a ₹50,000 fine imposed by customs, urging the Chief Minister to disclose the receipt. Singh provocatively questioned whether Mann was attempting to smuggle alcohol.

Regarding the recent hearings concerning the Cockroach People’s Party in the Delhi High Court, Singh emphasized that no organization should be allowed to challenge law and order under the pretext of a protest. He warned that if barricades are breached, stones are thrown, or violence erupts, the organizers of such movements must bear responsibility.

Singh accused individuals associated with the Cockroach People’s Party of evading their responsibilities. He recalled previous incidents where security agencies had to act against suspicious elements during protests, highlighting that such matters should not be taken lightly. During a past demonstration, three individuals were arrested in Amritsar for allegedly trying to incite terrorism under the guise of a protest.

The BJP leader expressed concerns about external forces attempting to destabilize India, suggesting that certain international entities are uncomfortable with the country’s rapid economic growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He urged the opposition to recognize and address these challenges.

Singh reaffirmed that India’s democracy is both strong and stable. While acknowledging that protests are a vital part of democratic expression, he insisted that they should not lead to anarchy or damage to public property.

On the topic of delimitation, Singh criticized the Congress party, claiming it lacks the intention to increase women’s representation in politics. He accused Congress of being insincere about enhancing women’s political roles, which has led to their opposition to relevant processes.

He further clarified that the Cockroach People’s Party appears to be closely linked with the Aam Aadmi Party, likening it to a student wing. Singh noted that those who previously opposed the Ram Temple are now politicizing the issue.

In conclusion, Singh called on the opposition to adopt a responsible approach to national issues and to express their views within the bounds of democracy.
