BJP Leader Prem Shukla Predicts Government Formation in Assam and West Bengal

New Delhi, March 16: BJP leader Prem Shukla has confidently asserted that the party will form governments in West Bengal and Assam following the announcement of assembly elections in four states and one union territory.

In an interview in New Delhi, Shukla expressed optimism about the BJP’s expansion in the southern states as well. He stated that the NDA will establish governments in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu, while also increasing its seat count in Kerala.

Responding to Congress leader Nana Patole’s remarks regarding the election announcement, Shukla criticized Patole for his lack of knowledge about Maharashtra’s history, suggesting he should study it. He emphasized that the Election Commission has the authority to decide when elections are held and when results are announced, implying that Congress members are unaware of their own history.

Regarding the recent uproar in Parliament over LPG issues, Shukla accused the opposition of spreading rumors to create chaos surrounding LPG gas supplies. He reiterated that the Indian government has assured there is no shortage for domestic consumers, noting that two ships have returned from Hormuz. Despite this, he claimed the opposition continues to spread misinformation, alleging that leaders from Congress and the Samajwadi Party are hoarding supplies and disturbing the public.

On the Election Commission’s decision to remove the Chief Secretary and Home Secretary in Bengal, Shukla stated that such actions are necessary for conducting fair elections. He highlighted that the removal of officials close to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is aimed at ensuring impartiality in the electoral process.

In response to calls for honoring Kanshiram with the Bharat Ratna, Shukla acknowledged Kanshiram as a respected leader among Dalits. He questioned why the Congress party has not awarded the Bharat Ratna to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and pointed out their lack of condolences upon Kanshiram’s passing. He dismissed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s demand for the Bharat Ratna for Kanshiram as mere hypocrisy.
